We are delighted to announce that Harran University has been selected to be a 2014 GPU Education Center (previously called CUDA Teaching Center). Our GPU Education Certen status strated on 22 Sep 2014 and will end oh 22 Sep 2015, which will take one long year. 

As a GPU Teaching Center, NVIDIA has donated the following education kit and books to our university:

• 1 Tesla K40
• 5 Tutan Black GPUs
• 10 Copies of the Programming Massively Parellel Processeor Book
• 1 Copy of the CPU Gems Book

We have also particapeted in the Centers Reward Program to receive special pricing on TESLA equipment.

CUDA is a parallel computing platform and programming model that enables dramatic increases in computing performance by harnessing the power of NVIDIA® GPU accelerators. CUDA Teaching Centers are recognized institutions that have integrated GPU computing techniques into their mainstream computer programming curriculum, and Harran University was recognized for its commitment to advancing the state of parallel programming education.

As a Teaching Center. the content of the module Parallel Programming taught by Asst. Prof. Mehmet Akif NACAR has been enriched with the CUDA programming model.
 
As a CUDA Teaching Center, Harran University will have access to NVIDIA GPU hardware and NVIDIA parallel programming experts and resources, including educational webinars, an array of teaching materials, and access to the NVIDIA CUDA Cloud Training Program.
