The Department of Foreign Language Education was founded as a unit affiliated to the Faculty of Education in 2008. It offers undergraduate programs in two departments that are English Language Education and Arabic Language Education. Student registration is not performed in the Arabic Language Education Department. Prospective students are accepted to the programs based on their language scores in the University Entrance Examination held by OSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center).

The main purpose of our Department is to provide its students with a solid foundation in the theoretical and applied fields of foreign language education and to ensure that they become principled and responsible foreign language teachers equipped with high qualifications that a modern teacher should possess.

The graduates of our Department can work as teachers, instructors or administrators at all levels from primary to higher educaation. Apart from teaching positions, our graduates can take different positions in state or private institutions.
