We introduced our department to the Faculty of Engineering.
The meeting to introduce our department held on 7th March 2018 in the Faculty of Engineering, Küçük Amfi, between 11:00-12:00. Dr. Serkan Kaya, Department Head, gave the information about the industrial engineering department both in Turkey and in Harran University. Dr. İzzettin Hakkan Karaçizmeli gave speech "Industrial Engineering Applicaiton" while Dr. Mehmet Miman provided information about potential interdisiplinary working areas on his presentation "Harran University, Faculty of Engineering, The Department of Industrial engineering, Opportunities for Interdisciplinary Studies". We attended II International El-Ruha Social Sciences Congress.
The Department of Industrial Engineering attended the II. International El-Ruha Social Sciences Congress that took place Harran Hotel in Şalıurfa between 09.02.2018 and 12.02.2018 aligned with its mission. Our faculty member Assistant Professor Doctor Mehmet Miman presented his scientific research "A Research on The Effective Factors on The Emotional Intelligence Levels of Employees of Shopping Centers: Şanlıurfa Example" in 11.02.2018 at II. International El-Ruha Social Sciences Congress. Dr. Miman said that through this study, he aimed at providing awareness and consciousness on "emotional intelligence" in Şanlıurfa and conveyed his thanks to congress organization board that provided richness in scientific life of Şanlıurfa organizing the congress in our city; The Board of Directors of Novada Park, especially, The Director of Marketing: Mrs. Esra Alıcı; The Board of Directors of Urfa City AVM, especially, The Diroctor of Public Affairs: Mr. Nevzat Ülgen; and Chancellor of Harran University expressing invaluable social responsibility in support of application of survey. Miman emphasized that to increase the living standards as well as well-being of our city, region and country, it is very important to have such university-industry-society cooperations continuously and increasingly.

Industrial Engineering Department, aligned with its mission, attended to II. International Alfarabi Social Sciences Congress that took place in Gaziantep Royal Hotal between 06-08 April 2018. One of the our department member, Dr. Fac. Member Mehmet Miman, presented his scientific research "Effects of Gender and Experience on Innovative Attitudes of Highways Workers: 5th District Directorate Example" on 06.04.2018 at II. International Alfarabi Social Sciences Congress. Dr. Miman indicated that through this study he aimed at providing awareness and consciousness about "Inovation" in Highways and wanted to convey his thanks to those who helped this especially the organizing conmmitee of the conference in the beginning and the 5th District Directorate of Highways in addition to Harran University Rectorate. He ephasized that the innovation is very important to increase the wellbeing, life strandards and welfare of our city, region and the country, hence it is very significant to have continuous and increasing university-industry-society cooperations in this area as well as others.
