Our department was established in 1992, affiliated with Harran University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
Our department started accepting students in the 1993-1994 academic year and had its first graduates in 1997.
He continued his education at the Yenişehir Campus in the center of Şanlıurfa until the end of 2002.
In the spring semester of the 2002-2003 academic year, it moved to its new building on the Osmanbey campus of Harran University, located on the 20th km of Mardin road.
Harran University Department of History provides 4-year formal education, master's degree with thesis, master's degree without thesis and doctoral education. Students receive 1 year of optional foreign language education.
Our department has completed the admission requirements for YKS, YKS Additional Quota, Horizontal Transfer, Vertical Transfer, Republic of Turkey
citizens and foreign students who have completed the admission conditions valid for foreign students
accepts the program.
Students of our department are required to take courses worth 240 ECTS at the end of 8 semesters, with at least 30 ECTS in each semester.
They graduate provided that they successfully complete all the courses they have taken and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
There are currently 4 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 4 Dr, 3 Research Assistants.
