The proposal of the Rector of Harran University to open a Software Engineering Department and a Software Engineering Department within the Faculty of Engineering was examined at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 04.11.2020 and in accordance with the article 7/d-2 of the Law No. It has started education and training activities after being approved by the Higher Education Board Education-Training Department.

Harran University Software Engineering Department was established in 2020 within the Faculty of Engineering and will begin to provide undergraduate education with the students they will receive in 2020-2021. Students who will receive education at the undergraduate level will graduate with an engineering degree at the end of 4 years. Software Engineering Department provides education and training in Turkish language.
