GAP Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency R&D Center Project was accepted by the Ministry of Development and included in the 2011 investment program. Mainly GAP-RDA Presidency, Karacadağ Development Agency, Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Şanlıurfa Municipality, Şanlıurfa Governor's Office and Dicle Development Agency are the supporting organizations. Research programs are organized in such a way as to create the most advanced solution to energy and environmental problems. Education and training programs created by national and international experts are open not only to undergraduate and graduate students, but also to different segments of the industry and the public. Technology transfer and policy development studies, on the other hand, are developed within the framework of cooperation in which national and regional dynamics are predominantly involved, taking into account international market and policy models.
