Power Electronics and Photovoltaics Laboratory contains modern test and analysis devices for researchers working in our university, public institutions and industry, especially Photovoltaic panel, DC-DC (Converter), Grid-connected and unconnected (On-grid/Off-grid) DC-AC. It is a scientific research and measurement laboratory where the subjects of Inverter, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) systems, Remote monitoring-control systems and smart grids are discussed. Our laboratory, which is planned to be structured and certified to carry out research and measurements in accordance with national and international criteria, aims to increase the potential of our university to carry out national and international projects by integrating with the Teknokent and university structure, and to improve the research opportunities of private and public institutions.

The Power Electronics and Photovoltaics Laboratory located at GAP Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Center is designed with 4 compartments in an area of 300 m2. The laboratory will generally have infrastructure and test mechanisms where the design, development and performance tests of electronic circuits used in Solar Power Plants can be carried out, and remote monitoring and control systems are also developed.

In general in our laboratory; It is aimed to create a laboratory infrastructure for the purpose of testing Photovoltaic Panels, Inverters and other electrical components used in Photovoltaic Solar Power Plants and examining the electrical effects occurring in Solar Power Plants and on the Electricity Network.

With the increasing number of Solar Power Plant installations in our region, it is important to take serious steps to increase the performance of the Power Plants or to prevent problems that may occur in the process. In this sense, GAPYENEV Power Electronics and Photovoltaics Laboratory will provide a serious laboratory infrastructure and measurement service opportunity.

It is planned to test according to EN 50530 Standard with the inverter test mechanism infrastructure to be built within the laboratory and to be accredited in this field.
