Our team has achieved great success by holding 3rd place in the 2015 Earthquake Resistant Building Design Competition organized by the Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool (TCIP)! The placing in the competition has been made according to the assessment of the performance of the model structures in several categories that consisted of "Architectural Design", "Poster of the Design", "Presentation of the Design", "Structural Performance Prediction", "Cost Analysis", and "Resistance of the Model Structure to the Applied Strong Ground Motions". The design, Atazade, performed by our team was one of the 7 model structures, among the total 25 model structures, that is not failed under the applied strong ground motions. After the all assessments and evaluations made by the experts, our design and team were awarded 3rd place in the competition due to their successful design. We are thankful to our team for the effort and success that they performed in the competition.
